What we collect

When you sign up we store your email address, a display name, and your password (always stored as a one-way hash — we never see or save your actual password). When you create or join a family we store the recipes you write and which family you belong to.

Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, page visited) for up to 30 days, then deletes them. Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site for security and speed, keeps its own logs under its policies.

What we don't collect

No analytics, no ad networks, no third-party trackers. The only cookies we use are the ones needed to keep you logged in.

Email

Your email address is used only for account messages: verification, password reset, family invites, and notification when your password changes. We never send marketing email and we never share your address.

Visibility of your recipes

Each family has a visibility setting. Public families appear on the discover page and anyone can read their recipes; they may also be indexed by search engines. Private families are visible only to their members.

Your data, your call

You can delete a family you own from its settings page; this removes every recipe, invitation, and membership in that family. To delete your account entirely, email [email protected] from the address on the account and we'll process it within 30 days.

Backups

We keep encrypted off-site backups for up to 14 days. A recipe you delete today may live in a backup until that backup ages out.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has signed up, please contact us.

Changes

If we change this policy materially we'll update the date above and, where practical, send a notice to registered email addresses.
