Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-05-25
The deal
Recetas is a small free service for storing and sharing family recipes. By using it you agree to these terms. They're meant to be brief and reasonable; if anything here is ambiguous, the spirit is "be a good neighbour."
Your account
You are responsible for the security of your account and for what gets posted under it. Don't share your password. If you suspect a breach, change your password (this signs out every other device automatically) and contact us.
Your content
You keep all rights to the recipes and other content you post. By posting in a public family, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display that content on the site and to whoever the visibility setting allows. We don't claim ownership and don't use it elsewhere.
You're responsible for having the right to post what you post. Don't upload other people's copyrighted material without permission.
Acceptable use
- No illegal content, hate speech, harassment, threats, or sexually explicit material involving minors.
- No spam, malware, phishing, or attempts to break the service.
- No automated scraping at a rate that imposes a meaningful load.
- No impersonating other people or families.
If you see abuse, email [email protected]. We will investigate and may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We keep regular backups but you should keep your own copy of recipes that matter to you. We are not liable for lost data, downtime, or anything else; to the maximum extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the past twelve months — which is nothing, since this service is free.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a risk to other users. Where reasonable we'll explain why and give you a chance to export your data first.
Changes
If we change these terms materially we'll update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
